Scott Alexander Young is a Filmmaker, Actor and Writer from Canterbury, New Zealand but a long time expatriate. A specialist in Central Europe and South America, while in Budapest Scott produced the half-hour docudrama A CafĂ© in the Sky. He has also made television for Fox Networks, Sci-Fi Channel UK and Channel 5 UK. As an Actor he has recently had nice roles in The Company, the biopic Eichmann and ‘The Small Office’ commercials for Samsung. His dulcet tones have graced the Travel Channel UK, FX UK and Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers! The travel writing CV includes guidebooks for Fodors, In Your Pocket, DK EyeWitness and Insight Guides. He is currently in the finishing stages of a travel book called ‘A Guide to the Smoking Section’. This chronicles (among other things) his adventures in the European screen trade, hanging out with gangsters in Belgrade, the ‘gente bien’ in Buenos Aires and running with the Irish underworld in Poland. As you do.
