Brits barmy for My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding

This according to Britain’s most famous tabloid newspaper The Sun, the red-top rag which reports British army actions in Afghanistan with the same hand-wringing glee which it details the break-up of celebrity marriages. Towit:

“BRITAIN is gypsy mad judging by the success of Channel 4′s documentary My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. The Cutting Edge film bagged 5.3million viewers – FIVE TIMES what the strand normally gets and its best show since 1996. The film, following four gypsy marriages across the country, even beat the return of the mighty Masterchef on BBC1. A show source said: “We’re over the moon. Time for another instalment.”
